Who is responsible for your data

Berkay Kurt trading as LetMighty runs LetMighty. We are the controller of the personal data about you as a LetMighty customer: your account, billing, support and security data.

Email: support@letmighty.com.

Information you store about other people, such as tenants, occupants or contractors, is different: you are the controller of it and we process it on your behalf under our Data processing terms. If you are one of those people, please contact the landlord who holds your information.

What we store about you

  • Your account: your name, email address, time zone and plan.
  • Billing records: your plan, subscription status and the payment provider’s customer and subscription references. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Support and requests: messages you send us, and privacy or account-closure requests from Account.
  • Security records: the technical records needed to keep the service secure and working.

Your records are private to your account. Every document download checks that you own it.

Why we use it

  • To provide the service you signed up for and take payment for paid plans (contract).
  • To keep the business and tax records the law requires (legal obligation).
  • To keep the service secure, prevent misuse and keep backups so records can be recovered after a failure (legitimate interests).
  • To answer your questions, complaints and privacy requests (contract and legal obligation).

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use analytics or advertising trackers.

Your right to object: where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object at any time by emailing support@letmighty.com. We will stop unless we have compelling grounds to continue.

Who helps us run the service

  • Clerk (sign-in, email verification and password reset) processes your sign-in data for us. LetMighty never sees or stores your password.
  • Stripe (payments) processes payments for us. When you start a paid plan, Stripe receives your email address and an internal account reference, and collects your card details directly. Stripe is also an independent controller for some purposes, such as fraud prevention and its legal obligations, under its own privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare (hosting, security, the database, document storage and our independent encrypted backups) processes data for us. The database, documents and backups are stored in the European Union.

International transfers

Clerk and Stripe are based in the United States, and Cloudflare may handle some data there. These transfers rely on the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum, as set out in each provider’s data processing terms. Data stored in the European Union is covered by UK adequacy regulations. To get more information or a copy of these safeguards, email support@letmighty.com.

Cookies

We use only the cookies the service needs: sign-in and security cookies (set by Clerk and Cloudflare), and one cookie that remembers whether your workspace sidebar is open. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

How long we keep it

  • Your account and records are kept while your account is open. If you close your account, we delete them as described below.
  • A deleted document goes to Trash, where you can restore it for 30 days. A permanently deleted document becomes unavailable to you straight away. The stored file is removed once a verified backup copy exists, normally within a few hours.
  • Encrypted backups are kept for 35 days, so deleted data can remain in backups for up to 35 days. A record of each deletion is kept so that restoring a backup never brings deleted data back.
  • Payment, invoice and accounting records are kept for as long as UK tax law requires, even after an account is closed.

Download and deletion

You can download your records and documents at any time, on any plan. Closing your whole account is reviewed by hand: sending a request from Account does not delete anything immediately, and we contact you before anything is removed.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict how we use it, and ask for your data in a portable format. Many of these you can do yourself in Account. Otherwise, email support@letmighty.com or send a request from Account. We reply within one month; for complex or numerous requests we may extend this by up to two further months and will tell you why.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Questions and privacy requests

Email support@letmighty.com, write to us at the address above, or send a request from Account. Please do not send passwords, sign-in codes or card details.
